Air travel carbon reporting
From the admin area, there is a new screen to allow entry of airports, distance, flight class and C02 rate.
This can be seen in the second screenshot.
Each journey leg needs to be entered for the report to calculate correctly. For example, DUB-LHR-DUB would need to be 2 entries in the admin screen DUB-LHR and LHR-DUB.
The start date covers the beginning of that rate being used and it will be used until there is another entry with a new start date.
Flight from and to use the same search function as the claim line entry.
Distance is stored in KM, there is the dropdown for class and the C02 rate is stored.
The values in this table will then be combined with the claim line details to generate the report.
The 2 reports are available through the report views option so additional sorts and filters can be added and they can be downloaded into Excel.
One thing to note, where a journey is a round trip or has multiple legs, each one will show on a new line in the report and the claim line value will be split equally over the legs. If your journey does not show any distance or carbon calculations this is because the journey legs have not been added to the Flight C02 rate Admin screen. Please enter the legs in here and re-run the report for the full calculation.
The Carbon tax rate per tonne is stored in the system key PP_EXPENSE_CARBON_TAX_RATE which can be updated by MyExpenses helpdesk.
